Client project

One brand. Two businesses.

Two live experiences.

A store that sells plug-ins without a conversation, and a site that starts one.

Role
UX/UI design, Shopify build, Webflow build

Two live experiences · Design to implementation
Tools
Shopify, Webflow
Klein Soundworks Ironclad Effects website

The short version

One name, two businesses: software someone buys alone at midnight, and a person a band hires for weeks.

One website would have made both jobs harder. So: two sites, one job each, permanently linked.

Downloads is an onboarding flow, not a file list — the risky moment is the twenty minutes after payment.

01

One name. Two businesses. Almost nothing in common.

A producer wants to know what it sounds like, whether it runs on their system and what it costs. A band wants to know what records he has made. In one navigation, everybody walks past things that are not for them.

02

Four decisions did most of the work.

The homepage argues for each product separately. The objection is answered next to the price. Downloads works as onboarding. The studio site asks for the music.

03

I designed both and built both.

Shopify: a custom theme and long product pages. Webflow: one page a band reads top to bottom, with rates published openly. No formal research was run on this project.
